Our Fleet: Modern, Efficient, Reliable
Turkmenistan Airlines operates an all-Boeing passenger fleet of twenty-five aircraft, supported by dedicated Airbus and Ilyushin freighters.
Our widebody Boeing 777-300ER and 777-200LR carry the long-haul network to Europe and East Asia. The 737-800 and 737-700 connect Ashgabat with the regions of Turkmenistan and with nearby international destinations.
Fleet: Excellence in Every Flight
The Boeing 777-300ER is our flagship, configured in three cabins — Business, Premium Economy and Economy — and flown on our longest and busiest routes. Premium Economy was introduced in December 2023.
Every aircraft is maintained to international standards and equipped with current-generation safety systems. In 2023 we became the first operator in Central Asia to fly the Airbus A330-200P2F freighter.

Spacious seating
Seats on our long-haul aircraft are built for the distance. The Boeing 777-300ER carries three cabins — 40 seats in Business, 32 in Premium Economy and 296 in Economy. Premium Economy, introduced in December 2023, offers extra legroom, a personal entertainment screen and an enhanced meal service. The Boeing 777-200LR is configured in two cabins, with 28 seats in Business and 263 in Economy. On our short-haul fleet, the Boeing 737-800 carries 16 in Business and 144 in Economy.
Aircraft types
Twenty-five aircraft in all. Two Boeing 777-300ER and two 777-200LR fly the long-haul network to Europe and East Asia. Eight Boeing 737-800 and a further group of 737-700 cover the regional and domestic network, with four Boeing 737 MAX 8 on order. Freight is carried by two Airbus A330-200P2F and two Ilyushin Il-76.
Range
The Boeing 777-200LR flies up to 15,843 km without stopping, which is what makes non-stop services between Ashgabat and East Asia or western Europe possible. The 777-300ER covers 13,649 km. On the short-haul fleet, the Boeing 737-700 reaches 6,230 km and the 737-800 5,436 km — comfortably enough for every point on our regional network.
Passenger capacity
368 passengers on the Boeing 777-300ER, our largest aircraft, in a three-class layout. 291 on the 777-200LR in two classes. 160 on the Boeing 737-800 and 126 on the 737-700.
Cargo capabilities
Alongside belly capacity on passenger services, we operate four dedicated freighters — two Airbus A330-200P2F and two Ilyushin Il-76. In 2023 Turkmenistan Airlines became the first operator in Central Asia to fly the A330-200P2F. Freight moves through the cargo terminal at Ashgabat International Airport, which covers 17,174 square metres and handles 200 tonnes of cargo per annum, with dedicated storage for perishables, valuables, medicines, agricultural produce and livestock.
Efficiency
Our fleet is entirely current-generation. The four Boeing 737 MAX 8 on order burn significantly less fuel than the aircraft they replace and are noticeably quieter, both in the cabin and for communities near the airports we serve. The Boeing 777 family carries more passengers per unit of fuel than the widebodies of the previous generation, which is what makes long non-stop sectors viable.
Cruising speed
Our widebody Boeing 777 aircraft cruise at up to 905 km/h. The Boeing 737-800 cruises at up to 842 km/h. On the Ashgabat–Frankfurt sector that difference is measured in minutes; over the longer Asian routes it adds up.
